While some reviews of disappointment seem valid, some seem to scream: Match my Blackberry/Treo's capabilities in every way, right NOW!

I just suggested that a co-worker NOT buy it because it can't replace her BB's business functionality. Me? I'm pleased as punch with my iPhone because it's my entertainment toy/phone to-go. It's not my new HTC 8525.

Before buying, think about what's important to you. Make a comparison list. Ask iPhone owners questions. Read articles and forums. Check out YouTube video reviews. TRY ONE at a store. Try a friend's/co-worker's in the field.

You can always WAIT for the updated software or updated models. Some people I know have an iPhone AND their more functional phone.

Some of the criticism is constructive, and I applaud that. I would like to believe that Apple will make swift improvements in response to our feedback. :)

Agree.

My brother in law runs his own consulting business and it is exceeding his requirements and expectations. . .me, I work for a large corp with all kinds of IT police, restrictions, and a commitment to Blackberry so it really won't work for me. . .yet!

I used a BB 8700 then a BB 8800 and I'm really happy with the email on the iPhone. The mail on the BBs were always just plain looking text. I couldn't view a lot of my orders such as from amazon.com b/c for some reason it just couldn't display it. On the iPhone however I see emails exactly as they appear on the computer. I'm sure I'll run into shortcomings in the future, but I'm hoping updates will resolve them before I need them heh.
