Nice, thanks. Hopefully they have one on display here in the Chicago burbs.

I am deciding between this, or the 5.9" Nexus X Phablet.

Just got back from testing it. Simply awesome. There are very few reasons, maybe none, to buy any other phablet. I then went over to T-Mobile and they told me I can't do the trade-in with my current prepaid plan. :{

Oh so sexy

I would have to assume so.

Damn, can't wait. Have one of you tried the swipe down from the corner multitasking? I know that's going to be one of my favorite features.

I might Pre-Order today with T-mobile.

Thanks for the heads up. Checking it out after work. There are just too many software bugs and issues with this iPhone 6/iOS and it’s driving me up the wall. I think what made up my mind was a complete lockup a few hours ago. The entire experience does not feel cohesive and I feel like a beta tester for some of these issues. And now I’m starting to see a fragmentation problem with apps and the version of iOS your running. I can understand that screen sizes need to be fixed but I’m running into apps that are crashing or have graphical issues. What happened to “It just works!”?
And to add insult to injury the 128GB iPhone cost $849 and the Verizon Note 4 cost $699.

This is some good feedback. I feel like the more iOS adds new features and features from Android, the buggier it becomes, while at the same time Android is becoming less buggy as they strive to be super fluid (ala old iOS)

Nonetheless, like others here, excited to test drive this bad boy.

Stopped by my local BB today and sure enough, had three Note 4s out on display. Unfortunately, they were all white and of course, had BB's bulky security attachment.

I have to admit, it's a pretty good looking and feeling device. The back panel has a decent soft touch and it feels nice and balanced in your hand. Neither it nor my 6+ feel any better or worse in my hand, as both are about the same size.

Two minor quibbles I had with it. First, while I generally don't like white bezels anyways, I don't like the subtle pattern Samsung has in their bezel, like micro-perforations. Second, I really don't like how they've painted/coated the metal frame but then have the chamfered edges in a chrome finish--it's just so inconsistent with the look of the device. I think it would've looked better either all metal or all white. To me, it's as off putting visually as the antenna lines on the iPhone, except that the lines on the iPhone are generally out of sight.

IIRC, the black/gray version of the Note 4 didn't have this same style, but as mentioned the BB only had white on display.

Would have easily been my next device but it still has Touchwiz,Samsung bloat, and needing to be on ATT there is not much I can do about that.

It is one impressive device for sure and wish they would make a Google Play/stock android experience Note line knowing it will never happen with all the S-pen features and other quirks.

A man can dream.

So, i just played around with the note 4 and alpha at best buy, and wow these are by far the best phones Samsung has ever made. And touchwiz, while still ugly as sin, was at least very fast and smooth on both demo units I played with, worlds better than my note 3 from last year.

While I still think ill get the iPhone 6 plus over the note 4 as my media and gaming phone, the alpha is really temping me to be my work phone and replace my HTC One M8, the size is just fantastic, as was the performance and display quality. And here I was thinking the One was safe for a bit, then out of left field comes the alpha to temp me.

Very true! The more they add the buggier it has gotten and with them still trying to support old hardware it compounds the problem. Apple is trying to shoehorn Android like features into something that was originally not meant for it. It’s time to stop adding Band-Aids and revamp the entire OS. But Apple won’t do it because they want to support hardware from 4 years ago.
I really wanted to give a smaller phone with premium build a try but if I go back to Android I would stick with the Note series. With my Note 3 I never encountered upgrade envy when other Android devices got released and I find the Gear VR very interesting. It would have been awesome if they had a demo of Gear VR and Note 4 at Bestbuy.

Totally agree. The more hardware and software choices offered, the more the iPhone will have hit or miss features and bugs. This is actually for the better though, it's like the crossroads of iPhone's future and there is no doubt Apple will perfect it. Which is exactly why many will wait next year for the 6S or 6S Plus.

Android has definitely become more integrated over the last several years. With the exception of customizing the home screens(which iPhone can't do), I actually find it quicker to setup an Android device out of the box than the iPhone.

I’ve had this iPhone 6 for a week now and at this point I’d rather go back to Touchwiz/Android then iOS. But I’m going to probably keep it for another 5 days. Verizon charges a $35 return fee so I want to get my monies worth. If the Note 4 was available today I would do it. But like you said; that extra bloat and Touchwiz does have some impact on performance. Not a lot but it's present. But hey; that's what the quad core and 3GB of ram is for.

most of the bloat can be disabled. i will miss titanium dearly with the note 4...will have to rely on helium to migrate from note 3.
