Trying out Apple Music

I used to be a diehard Apple fanboy back in the day but shortly after Apple bought Beats I had switched to Android and for awhile had been using Spotify but long story short I have a premium version there but my partner uses it.

I've been using YouTube Music because I have YouTube Premium which includes Music and ad free YouTube for $9.99 a month (grandfathered plan) but try as I might it's really getting difficult for me to like YouTube Music and I can't fully recommend it to anyone.

So I've decided to give Apple Music a try because I've heard that the audio quality is supposed to be better than on Spotify (?). I'm really confused as to how to ad songs to a playlist. Let's say I'm listening to Pearl Jam and suddenly remember "hey I wanna add a Metallica song" I find the song but it'd start playing the Metallica song suddenly.

Is there anyway I can get this to go away: http://imgur.com/a/2aUZR3l the Pearl Jam playback. I can't swipe to the left or right to dismiss it and for some reason it's pretty distracting to me.

In the Playlist you need to select Edit then Add Music then search for what you want to add.

Thanks. Is there anyway to dismiss the image at the bottom? I may not constantly want to be reminded by what song I last listened to .

Oh is that what you meant, couldn’t work it out before as everything looked normal.
It’s not showing what you last listened to it shows what’s playing now.
Touch it and it expands to give further options

The UI looks a bit different on Android than it does on iOS but that's to be expected just wished I could swipe to remove it.
