Trying to buy 2 6-pin for GTX970

Hello I have a 2010 Mac Pro.

Currently I'm using Mac Edition EVGA GTX680 with 2 6-pin connectors. I mostly use Windows on it due to the programs I use.

Now, I'm planning to purchase either GTX970 or GTX1070.

I saw GTX1070 Founders Edition by Nvidia, but it looked like it only had 1 8-pin connector.

Since I use my GPU heavily (game, video editing, etc), I am trying to find a card that won't turn off during my usage.

Are there any 9 series and 10 series cards that won't have any issues in Windows with 2 6-pin connectors?
Or, do I have to use 1 8-pin connector cards?

If you can give me some product names/links, that'll be fabulous.

I currently run a EVGA GTX 970 SC in my 2009 Mac Pro, flashed to 5,1, with 2 6-pin connectors and it runs just fine on Windows 10.

I also picked up a GTX 1070 Founders Edition, but I haven't had any luck with the 1 8-pin connector. The MP just doesn't seem to boot, and I'm not too sure why. Other than that, just know that the 1070, or any 10xx series card, won't work on MacOS right now as NVIDIA has not released the drivers yet.
