Hi I run an in-house domain network at work - the basic PC setup is Ethernet is connected to the in house domain network. we also run a guest Wi-Fi so we plug in a Wi-Fi dongle to each pc so the pc can use the Wi-Fi as well as be apart of a domain via Ethernet - for DNS to work properly the order is set to "3" on the Wi-Fi adapter settings - this means that the pc can talk to the internet as well as talk to google etc. on the wireless.

Local network is on a 20.0.0.0 network, wifi on a 10.0.0.0 network.

We have recently introduced a mac that I wish to have a similar setup - so I would like the mac to be binded to the lan domain so network users can login using their AD accounts and for them to be able to use the built in wifi on the mac by connecting it to the guest wifi network.

I'M HAVING SOME TROUBLE!!

so Ethernet and wifi is connected - they both have DHCP IPs. if wifi is at the top of the "Service Order" I can ping any internet dns such as google but can only ping using IP address when pinging LAN pcs such as domain controllers. also I cannot bind a mac to my in house domain if the service order has the guest network at the top.

IF a have the "Ethernet" at the top of the service order - I can bind to my local domain - but cannot use the internet.

SOMEONE PLEASE HELP!!

on the land line mr. smith.
Not aware of any solution.

Never been on a network that was configured so that there was no WAN access. Is this actually required? Is it worth the extra work and traffic to have every workstation have two NICs, two IPs, two DHCP pools, etc.....double everything?

Never seen a Mac with more than one active network connection. Post back if you found a solution.
