Just delete the cache (entire folder) in:
/private/var/folders/**/**/com.apple.dock.launchpad

and restart the Finder

Same issue here but I only saw two folders when i went to /var/folders named j4 and zz, what do I do next?

Search in these folders for a folder called com.apple.dock.launchpad and delete it. After that restart the Finder.

Didn't find that exact file but I found a com.apple.dock.launchpad, is this right? also found another that was a white page called com.apple.Launchservices.

com.apple.dock.launchpad is correct (I was a little bit wrong with the name)...launchservices has nothing to do with the Launchpad
