At some point between the launch of the iTMS (April 2003) and September of 2004 when Eddy Cue's name finally appeared in an Apple Press release, I know steve was doing some sort of Q&A on-stage somewhere.

He said something in essence to the success of iTunes is thanks to someone really important at Apple. His name is Eddy. I won't give you his last name because I don't want any other companies poaching him (or something like that). Cue was only mentioned one previous time and that's in MWSF 2000 Keynote transcript on this site:

Technical Difficulties
iCards web site has lots of bugs, Steve asks for Eddy Cue's help from off stage
Eddy Cue has been at Apple and loved by Steve long before he passed away. I wanted to find that transcript somewhere. It was either a Keynote, forbes article or an All Things D sort of tech-talk (if those even happened that long ago)

I can't help you, but @brinary001 recently planned to be tattooed with a Steve Jobs quote so maybe he'll have an idea. Good luck.
Haha it's true I did. Still haven't ruled something like that out...

Anyway, I actually have a whole book of Steve Jobs quotes featuring a ton of interviews, keynotes, press conferences--you name it--that I can look through when I get home later!

Very sorry I'm late on getting back to this thread, but I didn't want you to think I forgot about you! So I looked through my book of Steve Jobs quotes, and didn't find what you were after, unfortunately. It's only somewhat organized so I just skimmed through the parts that seemed like they'd have it.

This is the book I'm referencing: https://www.amazon.com/Steve-Jobs-H...e=UTF8&qid=1471801115&sr=8-2&keywords=i+steve

It's only a few bucks and available in digital and paper format if you were really dead set on finding that quote. Sorry I couldn't be of more help!

Haha, I should have said something to begin with because the day he posted the thread, I also went through my copy of that book on my iPad again to see if there was anything. There's all these references in the back of it pointing to all the interviews the quotes were taken from too.

No kidding haha. Oh well, two sets of eyes are better than one.

And yeah I tried to use the references in the back as best I could. They're kinda weirdly structured with them being in alphabetical order as opposed to something like chronological. Then again, this is a pretty unconventional book so I guess there really is no good way to structure it.

Narrowing it down further, the first article I could find that mentions Eddy on MacWorld is from Jan 24, 2004: http://www.macworld.com/article/1029186/itunes.html

Having a hard time right now since he's listed on every Apple related page ever because of the stock sale, heh. Google's tool to search by date isn't perfect. It's kinda amazing that there isn't a page with all of Steve's interviews transcribed, considering there's websites for most things out there.
