Trying to ground myself for memory install into imac

Ok i have a few questions.

1. Can i just touch a butter knife to ground myself?

2. Do you remove the stickers from the memory i purchased? I got 4GB from Crucial.

2. If you mean the stickers on the RAM stick, you don't have to

sitting with your feet on tile or concrete is preferable to carpet.

sitting with your feet on low nap carpet is preferable to high nap carpet.

just make sure to touch the outside metal part of the imac to discharge any static before touching the insides.

no, don't remove the stickers. i think they need to stay on there in case you need to return the memory.

I searched and found way to remove the electricity from you easily. Just touch the body of computer before adding the memory (power cord must be off). That's it
