I like to keep my ipad by my work station and keep the screen on to check email. The problem is if you dont touch the screen after a few minutes it turns off.

Is there a way to prevent this?

You can't set your settings to change that?

If not, I know a jailbreak app likely has an 'always on' app.

I cant find settings to do that, I dont think they exist. Rather not jailbreak it if possible.

Thanks so much for this tip. I, too, did not like it shutting down after 2 min.

Agreed.

Yep, set Auto-Lock to "Never". I use this during the day at work when my iPad is propped on a stand and plugged in, then I go back to the 2 minute default the rest of the time.
