iPhone Trying to manually change icons with no luck

I purchased Eli7e and this theme is absolutely beautiful. However, there are some icons on the springboard that didn't change.

So the past the 3 hours i've been SSH'ing into my phone via Cyberduck replacing the Icon.png and Icon@2x.png files with the new images. Respring and no luck.

I also looked up the bundle identifiers and created a new folder in the Eli7e theme folder and tried that route.. no go.

Am I missing something that's different in iOS7?

you need to clear the icon cache. RM Cache can help you do this or you can manually clear it yourself

winterboard should also automatically clear the icon cache when you use its respring feature

Thanks for the tip. Installed RM Cache.. applied it, and still no luck. Ah, still not sure what I'm doing wrong.

some apps don't use icon@2x.png as the file for their icon. some use some other name for it (can't think of any examples right now; I think iFile uses an icon name different from icon@2x.png)

I've added a few different icons to my own eli7e theme bundle, but rarely do they match the "icon@2x.png" nomenclature.

the best way to know is to look at the app's info.plist to see what the naming convention is...

for example...
-using iFile, go to /var/mobile/Applications
(screenshot)
-find the app you want to change the icon for
-go to xxxx.app
-scroll down to the info.plist
-open with text viewer, and then look for the app icon names. If there is more than 1 icon name here, I usually go with the one that is "@2x" or "60x60" etc. You can alternatively look for those icons in the xxxx.app folder and see which one is 120x120, that's like the one the app (for retina iPhones) uses.

others please chime in if I said something wrong but this method has worked well for me.

I'd like to figure this out too... I use trial and error with different names. Took me a little while to figure out MapMyFitness+ (see attached screenshot... look at that bundle name and icon name!)

Look under CFBundleIconFiles. There usually will be several listed, the one that is 120x120 is the main icon. It's not going to be Default@2x.png. Typically the name starts with icon, Icon, AppIcon or even ios7. I usually just scroll through the file listing rather than look in the plist file.

For iFile the icon name is AppIcon60x60@2x.png.

it helps you with the CFBundle name and icon names but it doesn't help with clearing the icon cache
