Hi, any idea why i cannot create a smaller partition than 120 GB in a fusion drive of a iMAC?
I am trying to partition my 1 TB Fusion into two partitions. But I wanna do 60 GB and the rest the other partition. It gives my an error...

Why?

Is there any way to pass that error?

Thanks

The Fusion drive is two physical drives, joined together logically to make it appear like a single volume. You cannot partition a Fusion drive (Bootcamp can do this behind the scenese but it only operates on the spinning drive portion of the Fusion drive).

You need to De-fuse the drive into the SSD portion and the spinning drive. Doing so is a destructive act, i.e., you lose your data but you will have to drives at the end.

This link has details on how to do that, if you wish
