I went into SETTINGS / GENERAL / and chose "ERASE ALL CONTENT AND SETTINGS"

The status bar took about 30 minutes to fill up, then the iPhone restart and for the last 3 hours, I'm getting the Apple logo and a the "waiting" spinning wheel. Any idea if it's supposed to take this long?

Is there a bar on the bottom? If I recall correctly, the last time I did that, there was a bar on the bottom, and it took close to 5-6 hours (16GB First gen).

Also, you're supposed to restore in iTunes after you do that, as Erasing all Settings and Content erases your OS.

There is no status bar now at the bottom. Just the Apple logo and the spinning status wheel. I'll give it a few more hours.

So it's in the process of erasing the OS right now? After all is said and done, will I have the option of restoring in iTunes?
