I've made a similar post earlier, I apologize for that, but this is more to the point, so I'll keep it short.

I bought the game regardless if this would work since I love the game so much. I've been doing some testing and tried to run the demo on the Crossover Games 10.1.1 and so far I've had no success.
For some reason, I can't seem to define my video card so it says there is no "able video adapter".
I tried to install a windows nvidia driver but it didn't work. how can I check if I have a Directx 9.0c installed inside the "bottle"?

I've been wondering if any of you had the same issues and know how to solve this, and if any of you tried to run this on Wine and had any success \ or not.

Cheers,
Tom.

Sometimes, but if you check WineHQ generally pre-release demos are older than the release and work worse with Wine. I'll try tomorrow when the full game is up on Steam.

You also bought it before? :D
Or you just run bootcamp so you couldn't care less if wine doesn't work?
And if I install it do I need to download it through steam that is installed inside the wine or can i download it inside the steam i have on OSx?

Preordered. Don't have a Windows partition but have a copy of Windows 7 so I can install it if need be. Steam from within Wineskin, would be needed, can't download Windows only games within the Mac Steam app.

Well I have a MBP 15' i7 comp and I tried to install it on wine and on crossover games but both give me the same error - no able video adapter found.
I have no idea how to fix it.
Maybe its because I'm not running it through steam? does it matter \ make any difference?

Perhaps. I'm just glad the thing seems to run on my MBA13" 2010 model running in Win 7 Bootcamp. Quite well, actually. The demo seemed to default the graphics all to high, and the animation is only a small bit choppy with that. (One of the first times I've seen a new game's auto-detect overestimate my video card. Still, just a small tweak should have it running smoothly. It's playable even with the defaults, though. Odd, since quite a few laptops out there are having trouble running the game at all.)

Anyone managed to get it running on crossover yet? Think there's a new version out already.

not until a new version of Crossover comes out.. and people can test if it works.

Otherwise you need to try to get Wine source code, patch it with the patches that are supposed to fix the issues... and do it all manually command line, or through Wineskin. Not very simple until Crossover or normal versions of Wine run it correctly.
