Hello all,
My friend asked me to try to sell his verizon iPhone 5c which doesn't have a valid sim card from verizon.

I reset it to factory settings and whatnot but now I can't move on with anything since there is no verizon valid sim card in it. I now cannot figure out the storage size or anything on it without a valid sim card.

Anyway around this?

You can usually get a sim card for free from Verizon. Just go to one of their stores and tell them you need a sim card for iPhone 5c.

Even if I don't have a Verizon account?

That I'm not sure... You can try telling them you're picking it up for someone else? In my experience, they checked I was a customer before issuing a new sim card because the sim card I had didn't fit in my new phone. If you have a sim card for a different carrier that fits then I think that'll work too.

Oh okay
Thanks a lot!

If you don't have a Verizon account, they will charge you for a sim card. And they may even want to charge you an activation fee, so be careful before you reach for your credit card. ;)

Since Verizon iPhones (since iPhone 5) are unlocked, technically speaking you should be able to use any SIM card (not just Verizon's).
Oh I never knew that fun fact. I appreciate it. Will it mess with my art sim from my 6s+ throwing it in it??

I don't have an iphone, but apple has model numbers on almost everything... does the iphone have one you can look up for the specs? Like M5423/LL or something like that?

I'm an idiot and completely forgot about that! Lol. I will check into it after work. Appreciate it

If you turn both phones off (not sleep), then switch sims you can activate the 5c. After you're done, shut them both off, and swap your sim back to your regular phone. I've done it.
