There are several reasons I can't seem to shed my frustrating PC.

1) My company set up a VPN that can only be accessed by a PC.

2) I have 1 or 2 work programs that are PC only.

3) I own a PocketPC PDA (iPaq 3765) that I happen to like.

4) I cannot find a financial software package that I trust for the Mac. I was scared off by bad reviews of Quicken 2004. I currently use MS Money 2002.

I have considered getting Virtual PC (Windows 2000 is best I have heard), but some reviews say it will run at about a 300mHz PC rate and I currently have a HP PC that is 600mHz (low on memory though, 64mb) so that doesn't seem to make sense.

Any advice?

Is Virtual PC that slow? I have a PowerMac G4 Dual 867mHz with 1 Gb memory.

Is Quicken 2004 (or any other year) that bad? The reviews said it crashed a lot. Is the transfer form MS Money to Quicken hard? Is there any other good financial software for the Mac?

Please feel free to contact me sirectly at:

I am new to this "forum" stuff.

Thanks in advance.

You don't understand.... I LOVE MY MAC!!!!!!!! I could do the comercial of the former PC guy who made the switch (I was an Amiga guy first. You are all probably too young to remember the Comador Amiga.) I just have a few more PCisms to shed.

If someone could tell me about Qucken 2004, that would help with one.
:)

He was born in 1953. ;)

Anyway VPC should be fine on your Mac for what you want to do. Although I would install Windows 98 because it runs the fastest. M$ is releasing VPC7 soon, which should be even faster on you Mac. You can get the Dos version for around $60, so you can add your own version of Windows.

I am certainly old enough to spell words correctly.
