Hi everyone

I'm trying to upgrade from 10.7.5 to Yos.

I get this message:
This apple ID has not yet been used with the app store.
Please review your account information.

OK,so when I review it, it wants my credit card details. If the upgrade is free why do they want that? It wont budge unless I fill in these details which I don't feel is necessary since this is a free upgrade, anyway around this?

Thnx.

You need to have current billing information to make a purchase in the App Store. It makes no difference that the "purchase" is a free download.

Enter your billing information, or confirm that it is correct.
Once you have it set up, you can change the "payment method" to "None", if you prefer that.
It will then only bother you about that when you actually need to make a payment for a purchase.
