I tried converting a video from YouTube with TubeSock and can't get it to work right. I have selected both iPod and iPhone formats from the menu and with both, I get the same result. They play fine on my computer... but when I try to sync them, they don't show up at all on my iPhone.

Any ideas?

I just used Tubesock to download and convert http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=klQtI_rVeTM and it works fine on the iPhone. I used Tubesock's iPhone setting and got an .mp4 file. When I open the .mp4 file in Quicktime and view the movie info under the Quicktime "Window" menu, the format is H.264 decoder.

Some older .mp4 files formated as Apple MPEG4 Decompressor won't play on the iPhone. You can use Quicktime to convert them into .m4v files and they will play fine on the iPhone.
