Tumi large capacity messenger bag... fits MBP 15"?

So I just got a new Tumi large capacity messenger bag as a gift, but much to my chagrin, Tumi's website says it can only fit a MacBook or PowerBook 15"; it doesn't say anything about a MacBook Pro 15", which I'm going to get this summer for college.

However, I put in a 15" Dell Inspiron, and it fit, though somewhat tight. I'm just perplexed why Tumi doesn't mention the MBP 15", but says the PB 15" is fine. In other words, if a PB 15" fits, a MBP 15" should too, right? I don't remember any dimension/size increases; if anything, I thought they were slimmer?


Thanks! Tumi makes great stuff, and it'd be a shame not to be able to use this bag for college.

If Tumi say that the bag will fit a 15" PB there should be no problem with a 15" MBP. That said, I think the MBP is slightly wider than the PB. Just to be on the safe side, go to an Apple Store armed with your bag and ask if you could try a MBP for size.

So the MBP is slightly bigger than the PB? I didn't know that; screen size got bigger? I thought it just got thinner?

My 15" MBP fits in mine fine, don't know if we have the same bag but its supposed to be "large capacity" as well.

Got mine as a gift as well, would never buy one for myself. So darn exspensive, but nice!

Yeah, I never would have bought this on my own. But now that I have, I don't want to return it!
