The interface is very laggy in general. I don't like how the names cut off either. The subscription list SHOULD be in alphabetical order, and you REALLY need to add artist photos because just as an example, I tried adding Metric to my list, and four of the same came up.
It's otherwise a nice idea. I like it better than the Alert Me feature in iTunes.

We are in the middle of user interface redesign update which addresses nearly all of the points you noted. Although the review process of Apple is quite laggy, we should be able to get a new version up pretty soon
