tuning up my ATI graphics card

Hi, i want to make my graphics card (ATI Radeon HD 5750 1024 MB) run faster because im feeling its kinda getting slow in refreshing the screen either in photoshop or illustrator. I certainly have seen difference in speed when compared to a 2012 27" iMac.
Has anyone ever tuned his card? Please tell me your thoughts, precautions and experience if you have done this.
