Hey, is it possibly in Mac OS X to turn a core off for either the whole computer or a single program? I would prefer a single program, but I don't see how I can do it anywhhere.

I have been playing a game that apparently does not support dual cores yet so it has been crashing constantly. :(

It's probably something else causing the crash. In general, an app doesn't need to know if it's running on one or two (or more) cores.

If you install the CHUD tools, it has the option to disable a core. Should be on your original install disks, alternately you can do a search on Apple's site for 'em.
