Turn off Align to Grid

Is there a way to turn off "align to grid" or whatever its really called, on in iOS? I want spaces between certain apps on my iphone. Does anyone know if its possible?

As far as I know, all apps on iOS are equally spaced apart and cannot be changed.

(maybe in the jailbreak world this can be done)

No, there is no way to do this without jailbreaking.
