I'm really tired of the mighty mouse scroll button always breaking and needing cleaning to recover. I guess I have two questions.

1. If I used a wired mouse how to I keep my mac from looking for a bluetooth mouse?

2. If I can find a 'windows' bluetooth mouse will it work with my mac?

I've got a 20" Imac running latest osx

1) remove the device from the bluetooth manager
2) It should, YMMV

1. You can turn off Bluetooth or just go into the BT preferences and delete your MM from the paired list.

2. It should work, yes.
