Turn off email notification grouping

Hello.

I’m trying to turn off email notification grouping on iOS 12.1.

I open settings followed by notifications followed by mail. Unlike other apps in this notifications menu, mail is missing the option to turn off notification grouping.

Does anyone know how to turn it off?

Go to Settings->Mail->Notifications. (I have 3 mail accounts, but I don't see why it would be different if you only have one)

There’s no notification grouping option in there.

I'd imagine if you just have one it would look like if you went into one of the individual ones that you have, for example, and there the grouping options don't appear as they only seem to be there on the initial screen where the different accounts are listed.

That said, if you have a single account it should really appear there too.

So how do I turn off the grouping?

Just one.

See if you can perhaps enable VIP or Favorites mailbox so that in notification settings it would have a few different options to present on the main screen and perhaps the grouping option will show up there.

Some of this type of thing also got discussed at https://forums.macrumors.com/threads/not-all-notifications-grouped.2138945/ where at least one person also didn't have the grouping options appearing for mail notifications in settings.
