Is there an option to delete the Faces album or any of the fancy shmancy artificial intelligence in the Photos app?

I really don't care for it.

I seriously hope there will eventually be an option to turn it off. I keep combining faces and they keep separating. I just want them off all together.

At this moment you have to just avoid the People album. There is no setting to turn any of it off. If it's something you'd like to see I'd suggest submitting feedback once iOS 10 officially releases to the public on Tuesday.

I couldn't, although I admit it did it pretty accurately for me. But the AI stuff added an additional 800MB to my Photos Library, so that sucks.

It would be off for me if the option was there.

Right now there doesn't seem to be any option, however there will probably be one (or there already is and it's super hidden/tied to another option and not clearly labeled) because I remember in either an interview or possibly was an article posted on the front page here quite some time ago that the machine learning/differential privacy (which the People is apart of) was all opt in, therefore should be toggleable.

So it's possible that it could come later if it's not already something super hidden.

I submitted feedback to Apple because of the dumb decision to not sync People data across devices. I hate to have spent all of that effort on my MacBook (Sierra) identifying people and then that data not sync to my iPad and iPhone (10.0.1 GM).
