Hi

I have a jailbroken iPhone 2g, 4gb. I want to turn off the edge service, but maintain voice and wi-fi connectivity, as I do not have a data plan with it, and don't want to be charged an arm and a leg.

I read about an application called services.app that does this, but it seems to be no longer available. Can anyone help?

Thanks!

Am I missing something. If you turn off edge, don't you loose voice as well. Being as though you don't have 3G on a 1st Gen iPhone...

No, it just disables all data. The "E" will just disappear and you'll get a message about no connection or something when trying to access Edge.
