iOS Turn Off Push For 3.0 Apps?

To people with 3.0, is there an option to cancel push for apps but keep MobileMe push. All those notifications are going to really annoy me if they have to be on!

Since you need to specifically make you app push ready, just don't program it to push?

I suspect they were talking more from a end-user's perspective than a developer's.
