A while back I shut off the battery percentage indicator on all of my devices that supported it. MacBook, iPhone, iPad...

I found myself constantly checking it, always a cause for concern it seemed. I've shut it off and now I don't worry about it.

Can you?

Settings > General > Usage > Battery Percentage > Off.

Hope this helps!

I know how to do it, just wondering if all those folks that constantly worry about such stuff can.

Something like getting your first scratch or dent ; car, MacBook, iPhone, child :)

I leave it on because I never worry about it. I know that the pop-up 20% warning means I still have a fair amount of use left. Even THAT doesn't cause me to rush to find a charger.

So I leave it on because it doesn't bother me.

But yeah, I know a guy who asks to borrow my charger whenever he hits 80%. That guy really needs to turn his percentage meter off. I guess you're more similar to him? Yes, you'll be more happy without it.

I leave it on. I'm don't get worried about battery life, but its good to know when my iPhone's on 1% so I can plug it in to charge ... Otherwise it turns itself off and when you plug it in it takes ages to charge enough to turn back on

BTW, is there a way to get rid of the warnings "Your battery is at 20%" and "Your battery is at 10%"? They're annoying :(

Someone's going to have a lot of cycles on their iPhone's battery

A cycle is a full discharge and recharge (100% total but not at once), so his cycles aren't going to change from plugging it in earlier.
