Hi all. Last night after setting up a Me account on my mom's iPhone, I (stupidly) turned off Note syncing in her (old) Gmail account settings. Unfortunately, I think that all the Notes she had made on her phone were made with that account, as the notes simply disappeared from the app. Is there any way to retrieve them? I logged into her Gmail on a browser and none appear there.
Any advice?
With thanks
Mr B

This seems to be true even for the native Notes app for iCloud sync. I turned it off and lost all my notes. Guess the message is: Don't turn off notes.

Glad to know. I have tons of notes stored on Gmail and I was thinking of turning it off to see what will happen. Won't do it now.

You would like to think that turning off syncing just turned off syncing, and did not delete the notes. You would think if you turned syncing back on, that they would again appear on your iphone. If not, this is very unapple like. Have you tried turning syncing back on? Did it at least warn you than turning off syncing would delete the notes?
