So instead of taking it to the shooting range like I had planned, I'm now gutting my old iMac so I can turn it into a terrarium (if intersted in parts I have everything except the broke motherboard available)

My question is: does anyone have an idea of how to remove the plastic parts that are super factory glued onto the casing? I've attached a picture. I'd like to remove as much as possible without ruining the casing and also would like to completely remove the glue so it doesn't hurt the plants. So far I've tried using flathead screwdrivers to pry them off but it either scratches the casing or bends/warps the casing behind it...

I hope I'm right in posting here, if not please direct me where this should be posted whether here or another website.
