When someone texts me, the phone reads it to me, that’s fine.

what’s not fine is when I make remarks and the phone is listening and then tries to transcribe to then send and luckily it doesn’t send.

I don’t turn siri on.

I don’t see anything in message setting.

help?!

(also I find it very creepy my phone is listening in on me).

Sounds like your phone is in love with you and just wants to be close. :D

Make sure you don't have dictation turned on.

Settings > Notifications > Announce Notifications

With this enabled, Siri "will listen after reading notifications so you can respond or take actions"

Thank you!!!!!!!

(I will miss Siri announcing my texts but if I have to give that up in order not to have Siri listen after, I’m all for it).
