When someone texts me, the phone reads it to me, that’s fine.

what’s not fine is when I make remarks and the phone is listening and then tries to transcribe to then send and luckily it doesn’t send.

I don’t turn siri on.

I don’t see anything in message setting.

help?!

(also I find it very creepy my phone is listening in on me).

At least it doesn’t just randomly start talking for no explainable reason like Alexa does on occasion. Most common command heard in my house, “Alexa STOP!”

Settings > Notifications > Announce Notifications

With this enabled, Siri "will listen after reading notifications so you can respond or take actions"
