Dumb question hopefully, but is it easy to just completely shut off the Wifi radio in Windows? I don't like that Apple's systems don't have physical on/off switches, but hopefully the software method is easy and works.

Vista or XP?

In Vista, Press Command + X to bring up the Mobility Center. Then you can switch off the radio there.

In XP, I'm sure there is a way, but I don't remember.

Thanks for the info! And that hopefully actually powers down the radio? (Sorry...) :D

If you are in Windows XP, Start, Connect To, Right click wireless connection and disable.

I'd be using Vista mostly...but disabling the network connection wouldn't power down the radio necessarily I woudln't think(?)
