FORMERLY NJ now FL
IOS 15 & Watch OS 8.

I can't find ANY WAY to get texts and notification on my iPhone while wearing my Apple Watch. You used to be able to turn ON DO NOT DISTURB or turn OFF wrist detection and remove passcode and all alerts would go to iPhone (with some loss of watch features which I didn't care about) instead of watch.

My hearing is diminished due to age and now I miss virtually every notification and text because the tiny little "bing" sound from the watch is barely audible to me and I can hardly feel the vibration even when set to PROMINENT if I am doing any activity.

Anyone else found a way to do this?

Are you sure you don't have the option under Watch (iPhone app) > General > Do Not Disturb > Mirror iPhone on? If you do, turning on DND on your AW will also turn on DND on your iPhone. Obviously in your case you do NOT want that.

I must admit I'm surprised you can't feel the prominent haptic on your AW. I do lots of physical activity and rarely miss even the default haptic.

Also, it appears you're running beta software on both your iPhone and AW - it could very well be a bug in one of both of those OSs.

I have a problem noticing the vibration at times also. IMHO the vibration needs to be more prominent or last longer.

Yes, 15 beta but That helped! 15 has no "do not disturb" as 14 did. It's now part of "FOCUS" (wish they would leave well enough alone!) so I was able to turn off "Morror iPhone" so now at least I get the notifications on the phone again! THANKS! :D :D

Great! And glad you were able to locate where they hid the option this time, lol!

so it’s 2024 and now I have the same problem. When turning on DND on my watch I still DO NOT get notifications on my iphone. it’s driving me nuts. I need this! Can someone help or is it a bug or did they remove it and I have to throw away my watch?
