Tutorial: MMS & How to Get It

I've been browsing these forums and found a way to get MMS to work. If you have zero computer knowledge this will be easy for you as well.

(All steps should be performed with your computer on. Your phone, however does not have to be. Also note, there will be no OS update to perform. This applies to the US only, citizenship not a requirement to use MMS.)

Step 1:Open iCal


Step 2: View Current Month


Step 3: Check Current Date:


Step 4: Count Days Between Current Date & September 25, 2009


Step 5: If Days = 0 Unlock iPhone and Proceed to Step 6. If Days > 0 Proceed to Step 8

Step 6: Send MMS

Step 7: Post at MacRumors About Your Victory ... Your Phone is Now Ready for 1990!

Step 8: Wait until Current Date Matches September 25, 2009

You all can thank me later.

thread of the day. can i suggest you add something about the the fact there will be no OS update required? only carrier settings? a lot of americans seem to forget about the rest of the world and the fact that we can MMS already.

Oh no no, we have not forgotten that in America we get stuff quite fast and for one we're last to get something so it has resulted in excessive bitching and moaning. We never forget and we'll never let anyone else forget it either!

Anyway I edited it and made sure I noted that no one had to be citizen of the US either. I just want it to be clear you see.

i agree. but then again i really want it so my friends can stop b****ing about my iPhone not being as good as theirs and not being able to receive picture messages.

all i can say is at least we are getting it. if we weren't then it be a whole other story.

Who cares what your friends think/say when it comes to your iPhone? If the phone makes you happy that's all that matters..

Also - as an aside, Jessica - no carrier update? Are they pushing it OTA? Because I had always thought we'd need to do a sync with itunes to enable MMS. I have ATT carrier file 5.0...

Also - your plans assume people can count. As proven time and again on this forum. That's a BIG assumption!

p.s. This whole thing reminds me of a three year old shouting from the backseat "Are we there yet?!"
