I recently got a new LCD TV. The only audio out is Optical audio out.

I'd like to connect some headphones for but I don't need or want a receiver.

Is there some kind of an adapter that I can buy or will I have to buy some kind of a receiver? If I need a receiver, any recommendation for something cheap that doesn't suck a lot of power?

You want to connect headphones into your TV but you only have an optical output?
Try mono price. Mini toslink to optical? You can plug the optical in then get a female/female 3.5mm adaptor and plug your headphones in.
