Probably not the best worded title, however since the update my television will not let me make any adjustments (volume adjustment, HDMI switch, or change in channel) at all unless I completely unplug the Apple TV from my television. Neither remote (apple or original) work while it is plugged in. The AppleTV remote just works for the tvOS. I can't even manually make adjustments with the buttons on the television... Any ideas to what is going on?

Check to make sure your settings are still correct for controlling other equipment: https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT205225 I noticed that the update didn't completely respect my prior settings.

Also, the first thing I do when there is any funky :apple:TV behaviors is unplug (from power), wait about 30 seconds and plug it back in(to power). It looks like you may have tried this one already but I'll put it out there just in case.

Thanks. It seems to have fixed itself after unplugging it numerous times. It was quite bizarre.
