tv s-video out - can I use the lcd and tv?

15" g4 powerbook 1.33 with ati card. Just want to have two desktops with the tv being an extention of my current desktop.
Checked under display and desktop settings to no avail. Also tried searching multiple sights to no avail. Hooking up to a normal non HD set and just want to use my normal desktop and have the tv be an extra monitor at a lower resolution.

You can do this. I had my PB G4 12" 1.5GHz set up like this last night. Once you hook up the ext. monitor or TV, the computer will recognize it and should open the Displays sys pref panel. You can choose whether to have the TV as a mirror of your PB screen or as an extension. As a mirror, the resolution will automatically be set at whatever the computer determines is best for the TV. As an extension, you can choose the resolution for each screen seperately. Hope this helps.
