TV Shows episode sort order

....seems all over the place on the iPad as if it is not reading the Episode number.

Anyone else noticed this ?

Hey, I had exactly the same problem - it was sorting them alphabetically on my iPad.

I managed to get it fixed by going into iTunes and adding track numbers (as you would on an album). So in a season of say 26 episodes, edit the info for the first episode to make it track 1 of 26. Then sync your iPad and they'll turn up in the right order!

I haven't noticed this on the iPad, but on the iPhone they are all over the place.

On the iPad they are displaying in the order I'd expect. I have both episode and track number set for my TV episodes

Oh ok. I tried adding track numbers to a few shows as a test and that does indeed fix it. It does seem odd though and surely a bug. I have all my episode numbers correct on my tv shows and they show up in the expected order on my iPhone.

I'm sure they would expect similar behaviour on both and what's the point of there being a field for Episode Number if it ignores it to look at the track which should be solely for media kind Music.
