Hi all,

Last week I just got a brand new 21" iMac 3.06 GhZ, just the normal spec that is in the store. I also have current software.

So I got this awesome computer with a great display and decided to download some HD content, so I bought LOST season 1 and LOST season 6 pass from the store in HD. It has taken a long time to download this stuff, and as I started watching Season 1, I got to episode 7 and it said it could not locate the original file. I found this interesting as I had only been watching the show, and not messing around in finder where I could delete something. Come to find out, season 1 eps 7-17 (at this point I had already downloaded straight through to episode 19) were all gone (HD and SD versions) and season 6 episodes 1 and 2 were also gone (HD only, since I had moved the SD down in the queue).

These are nowhere on my computer to be found. I had not hooked up my backup drive for Time Machine yet because I was moving old stuff onto the computer, but I have left it hooked up now just in case. After the SD versions of the episodes for season 6 downloaded, I got the same error, but these had just downloaded and I could locate them in finder and get that fixed.

I thought this was an old problem from iTunes 8 or something. I've been in touch with support, although I think they've misunderstood since I haven't finished downloading all the season content yet (although the missing episodes have already been downloaded).

Anything I can do to prevent this? I don't know if I need to reinstall iTunes or what.
