TV Tuner: a worthwhile buy?

Hey everyone,

I was wondering if a TV tuner is a worthwhile buy? I currently use a 12" PowerBook G4 1.5 Ghz with 768mb of RAM. Do you think if I purchased the EyeTV TV tuner my PB could handle the recording of television shows, or would I need a faster compuer with more RAM or processer speed to handle this task?

Yes, it is. I almost allways have Tv on in the background except when gaming. And yes your machine is fine though more memory is allways good.

I had an eyetv tuner, and I broke it somehow. I was thinking of replacing it but I really don't miss it that much especially during the summer.

A friend of mine has the same speced iBook as me (specs in sig of course) and he says his EyeTV works great! I am planning on buying one after I get a few other neccessities for my computer.
