? TV, Wireless or Ethernet

What's the best way to connect an ?TV to a Mac Mini? Wireless or Ethernet. My Mini sits within a few inches from the ?TV under my TV and the Ethernet port is not in use so is it better to use that rather wirelessly connecting?

Tried to use the apple logo in the name of my post and the logo gets converted to a ? so its a question regarding the Apple TV.

+2 for wired.....even with a strong wifi signal in my house, the ATV2's still would experience some slight buffering if there were several wifi devices being used at the same time....

Quicker loading when viewing content lists, shorter buffering when playing videos, more reliable; and less of an impact on your local bandwidth.

You're not supposed to connect the aTV to the mac mini. You need to connect the aTV to your router.

Unless you're using your mac mini to share its internet connection, at which point, the mini's ethernet connection is probably tied up by the connection to the cable/dsl modem.

How is your gear set-up? Do you have a router somewhere?

As ftaok is saying. Your Mac Min and your ATV should both be connected via Ethernet to your Router. The reason to use WiFi is when you do not have access to a Router or for mobility (like a Laptop). All other times use Ethernet. If your router is not near the tv as well normally you would put in a Switch near your TV where your ATV and Mini are and then connect that to your Router (even if in the other room). Also, your TV itself may have an Ethernet Port that can plug into the Switch. Again, do not plug your ATV into the Ethernet Port of the Mac Mini.
