So I've been trying to install the new tvOS 26 Beta but with no luck. I have the newest Apple TV 4K, and followed the instruction but it's not possible to Find or download the config profile. Only thing available is the restore image for the non-4K Apple TV. Anyone have luck finding, downloading and installing the tvOS 26 beta profile to their Apple TV 4K's? Below is the first line instruction that doesn't actually get you to a page with the profile. Maybe I'm missing something. But can't seem to see anyone else online with a solution.

  1. Download the tvOS beta software configuration profile for the Apple TV 4K from the download page on your Mac.

    Thanks in advanced!

I’m still contemplating on installing the tvOS beta 26 to check out the new visuals but wanted to see if the beta has been fairly stable for those who installed it so far?

I have iPadOS, ios, and watchOS 26 installed on my other devices, and it’s been a bit buggy but overall very usable.

We have multiple appleTV devices here - all 3 gens of the 4K iteration. I am running it on the appleTV in my office and no "show stoppers". Seems to be fine.

There's hardly any Liquid Glass in tvOS 26. In fact after updating my 4K I figured it had failed as the main home screen looked exactly as it did in tvOS 18, only with a slightly more washed out Settings icon. Even Settings itself lacks any noticeable visual change. Opened a few apps with no change. Kinda hoped we'd get some Apple influence on third-party apps (similar to how on the Apple TV 2nd and 3rd Gen, apps such as Netflix had an Apple-designed UI vs the standard Netflix UI) but sadly, it looks just as it did in tvOS 18.

First 4K updated in literally 10 minutes, second claimed to take '156 hours' but got done within an hour.

You go to Settings-->System-->Software Updates-->switch on 'Beta' updates and select tvOS 26 Developer Beta and then check again and it's downloading. But it's not the visual candy you get in iOS 26 that's for sure. You won't notice any real change.
