TVOS18 how to stop defaulting to channels app or Apple app?

its annoying I find after a few presses no matter what im doing I end up back on that consolidated App and have to hop back to main menu to get back to individual apps

I dont mind aggregation, as an option, But I dislike that it keeps getting back there in so many situations.

previous version did not have this behavior that I recall with similar navigation

Nothings changed though as that setting has been there for quite a few years already, at least for the past 6 years anyway.

It must’ve re defaulted to that because I didn’t do that lol and my Apple TV has gone through at least 2 maybe even 3 major version upgrades since having it. Weird
