TwitBird Pro $2.99

TwitBird Premium $1.99

Does this mean the TwitBird Pro is better than (or has more features) than the TwitBird Premium?

Have you bothered to look at their website?

TwitBird Pro supports up to 16 accounts
TwitBird Pre supports 2 accounts
TwitBird Free supports 2 accounts and is ads supported.

my question is why use twitbird. There are plenty of better twitter applications out there, and tiwtbird only does push notifications of tweets sent via twitbird....

I downloaded both the Pro and the Premium versions for free. That's why I am using TwitBird.

I use Twitbird Pro because of the way it handles links. I use Twitter much like one uses an RSS reader, and for opening links I like the way Twitbird works. Excellent background opening of links, so I can scan lots of tweets, open links quickly without expanding the Tweet or going to a separate page, and then read the links in one gulp after they have had a chance to download.

NOt true!

They give you Twitbird to Twitbird push free on all versions but you can purchase Global push for ALL twitter notifications. Or you can just use Boxcar which now supports ALL 3 version of twitbird for notifications.

Actually, for me, this is my new favorite client, replacing Tweetie 2. It's got great features without overdoing it. I don't really care about push too much since I get a text when I get DM's.

You're not able to purchase (as far as I can tell) Global Push for the Free version. There's nowhere to buy it within the app.

When I go to Push Notifications settings within TwitBird, it just says Device Token Error.

And in the App Store, it doesn't list "In App Purchases" for the free version, but does for Premium and Pro where it says Global Push: 2.99 (Canadian).

Twitbird never asked me to allow Push notifications either, so I don't think the free version even has Twitbird to Twitbird push.

I tried reinstalling and restarting my iPhone, still nothing.

So unless I'm missing something (please let me know if I am), there's no Push for the free one.

I believe you CANNOT purchase push notification from within twitbird free version, I dont think it was clear earlier what version they were talking about...BUT you can use the free version with boxcar, with lets you sign up for one push service(in this case you can use it for twitter) for free.

So get twitbird free + boxcar(free 1st service) = free fast twitter notifications.

I think the Global push works with mentions and direct messages only.
