Twitter and notification center problem ?

Ive installed twitter from the settings of ios5. Then turned on twitter in the notification center settings. I put banner and the 10 last to appear in notification center.

Is twitter supposed to push new tweets to notification center every time a new tweet comes in ? Because I am not getting any notification banners for twitter at all ..

When I go into the twitter app .. I have a ton of new tweets from people I follow ...

Anyone else having a problem like this from notification center and twitter ?

Twitter wasn't showing up in my notification center either, but it was causing my phone to vibrate every 2 seconds, which was driving me bonkers. I turned the notifications off - I don't care if it appears, and it was set that way by default, not by me. I'm hoping that with it off, my battery life will stretch out a bit longer.

I think I am correct in saying that Notification centre will only show @mentions and NOT general tweets from people you follow.
