Twitter App w/ Push

Do you think Apple will control the flow of apps, ie Delay release,so that they can manage all the push notifications while launching it?
Could be very wrong but it's possible that Apple may release the big push apps (IMs, social networks, iFart*) one by one initially. From experience it's fairly impossible for any organisation, with no matter what resources, to establish quite what real effect that amount of new data traffic will have on the server farms they've planned to put in place (simulations and developer tests have little similarity to real world users on real world carriers and can only give you ball park comfort zones). Launching the heavy push apps piecemeal makes it easier to analyse resource drain and determine whether you've got it right. Just a thought anyway.
Also given that the release of the 3GS will mean the need to guarantee a lot of resources for a temporarily huge surge in activations and new user management, even the remote possibility of any extra complications brought about by millions of people suddenly receiving tweets from an elevator-trapped Stephen Fry is probably a headache Apple wants to avoid with the carriers.

I heard that push twitter won't be possible unless twitter itself implements it in their API. Otherwise the app developers will have to create another server to operate between the app and twitter to handle push notifications.
Why would someone want this? It would be the most obnoxious thing of all time. Do you realize how many notifications you would be getting?

Sorry to burst your bubble, but this is completely different. On your Mac Tweetie can run in the background, meaning they can just get new messages from Twitter using your Mac's internet connection. On your iPhone Tweetie can't run in the background, so they would have to run their own servers that would check for new messages and push them to your iPhone (this is how push messaging works) - running lots of servers sadly means more cost / work for them.
or you can just use the prowl app. pretty much takes care of all of my push needs (gmail, twitter, when video encodes are finished, when torrents are finished downloading, etc etc, when i get an initial IM on adium and im away from my macbook, etc etc). with tweetie installed on macbook, it also pushes mentions and @dm's to my phone no problem.
