Twitter app with push

I am not familiar w twitter but I want it to alert me when someone im following tweets something. Is there an app where I can choose who can alert me? I want push alerts that writes the short message even on a locked iphone.

I have tried the free ones and they dont have push.

Use the official Twitter app.

Then, get the free app named 'Boxcar.' Set up Boxcar to send you push notices about Twitter.

Once it's set up you can put Boxcar on your last page and ignore it. It just sends notices and you use the Twitter app itself.

They work great together.

Echofon Pro. Built in push notifications, and it syncs your tweets with Echofon for Mac if you have that also. There are free versions of both if you don't want to pay, but I'm not sure if notifications come with the free one.
