Hello!

I am currently active on Facebook as a private individual's account. I used to be active of Twitter before it became "X". I know next to nothing about BlueSky.

I am considering posting my own blog of some sort. I want to be able to share information and my own commentary on certain matters of public interest. I have not decided on a blogging platform, but I want to be able to post commentary as text, as well as share links as citations for various news articles and other online public documentation. I may also want to do a video blog so I can make my own commentary in spoken form.

Given the changes since Twitter became "X", and how I can't seem to log-into my old Twitter account anymore, I am not sure if it's worth my time to pursue an active account.

I remember, ten to 15 years ago, there was an independent app called TweetDeck tat could manage multiple Twitter accounts. TweetDeck was since bought by "X", and is not incorporated into the X platform as a pay-to-play "X Pro" management system.

I'm wondering: since TweetDeck doesn't sound interesting to me now that it's "X Pro", is there another app available that can handle multiple accounts and multiple social media platforms? Did IFTT ("If This, Then That") perform that kind of function? I may (or may not) get back on "X", but I'm more inclined to gravitate toward platforms that don't charge for certain functions. I'm thinking about establishing a presence on Facebook, BlueSky, maybe YouTube and maybe Instagram, in addition to at least one blog. To objective here is to do as much of this as possible for free. Does something like that exist in the 2020s? Is IFTT still an option?
