Is the album duplicated on the machine you are syncing with?

No, only one album of each in itunes and also I have checked the the directory /user/Music/iTunes/iTunes Music.

Should I be changing anything in the album info?

I think the album info would be fine. What do you mean by "restore"? Did you reset it to factory and then re-add the music?

An Album has a title, and it has a "Sort Title". For example Title = "The Dark Side of the Moon", Sort Title = "Dark Side of the Moon", so the album appears under the letter D and not under T.

You might by mistake have given both albums the same "Sort Title". Click on the songs then "Get Info" in iTunes.

It's two different album titles? Not for example two different albums both called "Best Of"?
