Hello everyone,
Does anyone know if it's possible to have two indepent columns in Word? I do not want the second column to begin when the first one ends, I want the first column to continue onto the second page still in the first column, and the second column to continue into the second page in the second column. Hopefully you guys know what I mean. Does anyone know if this is possible?

Thanks

Can a text box stretch for more than one page? If so you could make two textboxes side by side...

Edit: Apparently not! But I found a sort of solution: Make a table with 1 row and 2 columns. That should do the trick. Maybe you can format the table to have some margin/padding and invisible border, too, to make the illusion complete... :)

Actually, I think Mitthrawnuruodo's first idea is also basically possible. If you search for "column flow" in the Word help, the instructions are there...it's pretty detailed, but it's another option. However the second idea seems much easier to me. I think there might be some annoyances with it. I know for instance that you must use option-Tab instead of Tab, because the latter will take you to the next cell instead of doing what you want. I'm not sure if any other normal formatting options are impaired while you're inside a cell of a table.

Cool, thought it was there somewhere (since that would be the preferred way in, lets say, InDesign), just gave up looking for it really quickly when I thought of the table... ;)
